Experience the revamped Illinois Team Camp from June 26-29! Dive into 3 days of intensive instruction and duals with our new "Match-Up matches" system, ensuring fair and competitive wrestling by matching individuals of similar skill levels. Teams can also opt into the traditional Team Camp Dual Meet Championship, but this year with wrestlers from only your team. If you do not opt in to the team competition, teams can choose to continue doing “match-up matches”, or an additional technique session, if they feel that’s what’s best for the individuals they brought. Another new experience this year, University of Illinois wrestlers will be with your team throughout the camp, providing hands-on coaching, in-match instruction, and post-match feedback. These are two major changes that will have a profound impact on the competitiveness of matches and the one on one attention that each team will be given. We're bringing back the fan-favorite Team Dodgeball Tournament where you can claim the title of 2025 Champions! The camp concludes with an individual tournament on the last day.
Intensive Camp June 22-29
This intensive camp is geared toward wrestlers wanting to compete at the highest levels. The intentions of this camp are to help wrestlers develop an understanding of the different training philosophies used to succeed. It consists of a practice program based on technique, discipline, commitment, sacrifice, and confidence. This 7 day camp is guaranteed to be extremely challenging, both mentally and physically. All wrestling training will be done in the legendary Huff Hall wrestling room. The U of I Wrestling Team looks forward to training side by side with those who are looking to jump to the next level!
Technique Camp June 22-25
University of Illinois Wrestling Camps emphasize technical skill development and strategy. Our curriculum covers everything from basic fundamentals—stance, positioning, takedowns, and escapes—to advanced technique and strategy, including set-ups, finishes, and drilling. The practices will be structured to increase each athlete’s understanding of what it takes to be a future champion. No fluff, just real technique that wins at every level – no matter what level you are. Along with your regular training you will experience what it’s like to win at the NCAA by watching the University of Illinois wrestlers practice between sessions. After this camp is over, there will be a clear path laid out for you that will lead to a successful season.
